Sea Freight Import Coordinator -Birmingham – Up to £35,000
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sea Freight Import Operator to join our well established, innovative logistics provider with a rich history and over 30 years within the UK market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of sea freight import operations.
Job type – Full time – Permanent
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday
Salary: Up to £35,000 (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities
- Coordinating and executing sea freight import activities, including booking, documentation, and customs clearance processes
- Communicating with carriers, agents, and customers to ensure smooth sailing of operations and timely delivery of goods
- Monitoring shipment progress and proactively addressing any delays or issues
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders
- Collaborating with internal teams to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Requirements
- Proven experience in sea freight import operations or a similar role within the logistics industry
- In-depth knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with various stakeholders
- Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office applications
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry.
