Salary: €38,000 – €48,000

We are seeking an experienced Sea Freight Specialist to join a well-established international logistics organisation.

This is a varied and customer-focused role where you will manage sea freight operations from start to finish, ensuring efficient handling of shipments, strong client service, and smooth coordination across global logistics networks.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day sea freight export/import activities in a dynamic, global logistics environment. The role combines operational execution with customer interaction, documentation control, and coordination across international partners.

You will play a key part in ensuring service quality, compliance, and efficiency while supporting both existing customers and new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sea freight export/import operations
• Coordinate shipments with shipping lines, partners, and internal global offices
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with international regulations
• Handle customer enquiries, service issues, and operational escalations
• Support customs-related processes where required
• Prepare and process transport invoicing and documentation
• Maintain and develop strong customer relationships
• Support pricing, quotations, and commercial activities
• Ensure adherence to internal processes, KPIs, and service standards
• Use internal logistics and IT systems for shipment and data management
• Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation

Candidate Profile

• Background in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations
• Experience in sea freight (export or import) is highly desirable
• Strong MS Office skills
• Fluent in German and good English (written and spoken)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented approach
• Interest in logistics processes and operational excellence
