We are recruiting for an experienced Air and Ocean Internal Sales Executive to join a global freight forwarding company based in Dublin.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with freight forwarding sales experience who is looking to join a growing international logistics business with a strong reputation, modern offices, a strong bonus structure and excellent room to progress.

The company is a well-established global freight forwarder with a large Irish and international presence, offering air freight, ocean freight, customs, warehousing and wider logistics solutions.

The Role

As Air and Ocean Internal Sales Executive, you will be responsible for supporting business growth by managing inbound sales enquiries, preparing quotations and developing relationships with new and existing customers.

You will work closely with the external sales team, operations departments, overseas offices and customers to provide competitive freight solutions across air and ocean freight.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle air and ocean freight sales enquiries from new and existing customers
• Prepare and follow up on quotations for air freight and ocean freight shipments
• Support the external sales team with pricing, customer communication and sales activity
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Identify opportunities to grow accounts and win new business
• Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, overseas agents and internal operations teams
• Provide customers with accurate freight solutions and service information
• Maintain CRM records, sales activity and customer updates
• Work closely with operations to ensure a smooth handover of new business
• Support wider commercial activity and business development plans

Requirements

• Previous freight forwarding sales experience is essential
• Experience within air freight and/or ocean freight
• Internal sales, sales support or freight forwarding commercial experience
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding processes
• Confident preparing and following up on quotations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to sales
• Able to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams
• Organised, professional and able to work in a fast-paced logistics environment
