Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Logistics and Supply Chain

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £130,000pa (DOE) + Package

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:30am-5:30pm

My client is looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) based in Manchester. You will be responsible for leading the technology strategy and execution, working closely with senior management to align technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT development, front-end and back-end development, tech architecture, and software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement technology initiatives that align with the company’s overall strategy and objectives.
• Lead the IT development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Drive the technology roadmap and ensure that it supports the business’s growth and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technology solutions that optimize logistics, supply chain, courier, and freight forwarding operations.
• Oversee database management and ensure data security and integrity.
• Provide strategic direction for technology architecture and infrastructure.
• Serve as a key leader in the senior management team and contribute to decision-making processes.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Review and assess the performance of technology initiatives.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate the value of technology initiatives and gather feedback.

Qualifications:

• Proven Experience in Senior management or Director-level roles, with a track record of leading successful technology initiatives.
• Strong background in IT development, front-end and back-end development, tech architecture, and software development.
• Experience within the logistics, supply chain, courier, or freight forwarding industry.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives and drive innovation.
