Customs Coordinator

Role: Customs Coordinator – Imports
Location: Hayes
Salary: £29,000-£35,000
Hours: 4 on 4 off (07:00-19:00)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Customs Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced airfreight operation in the Hayes area to complete import shipments.

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and enjoys taking ownership of shipments from arrival through to clearance.

The Role:

• Managing the end-to-end customs clearance process for import shipments

• Liaising with HMRC, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth movement of freight

• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email, providing timely updates

• Ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed within required timeframes

• Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving any issues or delays

• Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate records

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience within customs clearance (air imports preferred)

• Strong understanding of UK customs procedures and compliance

• Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively
