Transport Operator
Transport Planner – Mossend – Up to £35,000
Our client, who are a recognized transport company are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team in Mossend.
As Transport Planner, you will be experienced in dealing with containers and routing company-owned vehicles UK-wide.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday with 1 in 4 Saturdays (Hours: within 06:00 – 19:00 window)
The Role:
- Routing company owned vehicles
- You must Plan routes as cost effectively as possible
- Plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours
- Ensure all customers are kept up to date
- All necessary admin must be completed
- You will be working with the Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
- Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the companies’ requirements.
The Requirements:
- Extensive Transport route planning skills
- Container experience required
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Strong communication skills
