Transport Planner
Location: Bersted, West Sussex
Salary: Up to £36,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm + 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:00am – 1:00pm)
We’re working with a busy and well-established waste management company looking to add an experienced Transport Planner to their fast-paced operation.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a haulage background who thrives under pressure and enjoys being at the heart of a busy transport office.

The Role:
You’ll be responsible for planning and routing a fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient daily operations while maintaining high service levels. This is a hands-on role in a demanding environment, where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and route daily vehicle movements efficiently
- Manage driver schedules and workloads
- Ensure compliance with driver hours and transport regulations
- React quickly to changes, delays, and operational issues
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Maintain accurate planning and operational records
Requirements:
- Previous transport planning and routing experience (essential)
- Good understanding of driver hours and transport compliance
- Background in waste or general haulage considered
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong organisation and communication skills
