Position: Air Import Operator

Location: Altrincham, Manchester

Salary £28,000

Hours: Mon-Fri -17:30

Air Import Operator

This role is to add to our busy airfreight team in Manchester. Handling shipments from start to finish The Main focus would be on Air Imports whilst assisting at busy periods on air Exports to ensure our customers and overseas partners receive a seamless airfreight experience.

Air Import Operator Key duties and responsibilities:

• Handle air import shipments from door to door.
• Prepare and submit customs entries.
• Respond to clients promptly.
• Invoice jobs on time.
• Loading of information into CW1.
• Close liaison with the customs compliance manager.
• To handle daily import operations for the Manchester client base.
• To work closely with the air export department to help cover as a full airfreight department.
• To liaise with clients in relation to documentation, delivery and charges, if required.
• Quotations for clients and overseas agents
• Monitor ETA and advise of any changes.
• Ensure the customer has all required docs, I.E. PODs, copy C88 etc.
