Position: Ocean Export Operator

Location: Solihull

Salary: Up to £32,000

Hours: Monday-Friday based on 37.5 hours per week

We are currently working with a well-established and growing logistics business based in the Solihull area who are looking to recruit an experienced Ocean Export Operator to join their busy export team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator to step into a stable and fast-paced environment within international freight forwarding.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing ocean export shipments from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for customers and overseas partners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling ocean export shipments from booking through to final delivery
• Preparing and processing all relevant export documentation
• Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, and transport providers
• Arranging collections, shipments, and export customs requirements
• Ensuring compliance with international trade and customs regulations
• Tracking shipments and proactively resolving any issues or delays
• Providing regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders
• Working closely with the wider operations team to ensure smooth workflow

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in ocean export operations (essential)
• Strong knowledge of export procedures and documentation
• Confident communicator with good customer service skills
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working within a freight forwarding or logistics environment

Package

• Salary up to £32,000 (depending on experience)
• Monday to Friday working hours
