We are currently recruiting for a Shift Chemist to join a rapidly growing waste management and treatment business based in Grays.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that has doubled in size in recent years and is now expanding into waste treatment operations, offering excellent long-term career prospects.

The Role

Working as part of the operations team, you will support the safe and efficient handling, assessment, and processing of waste materials on site.

This is a shift-based role, operating between 8am – 8pm, with a rotating pattern:

• Week 1: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Week 2: 11:00am – 8:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and classify incoming waste materials
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
• Support site operations and waste processing activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure efficient site performance

About You

• Degree qualified in Chemistry or a related scientific field
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Interest in waste management, environmental services, or industrial operations
• Able to work a rotating shift pattern

💡 No prior industry experience required – full training will be provided for the right candidate.
