Salary: £30,000 + Excellent Benefits
Location: Totton, Southampton -Hybrid Working Available
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role

As a Customs Clearance Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing a high volume of import and export customs declarations, with a primary focus on ocean freight shipments. Working as part of a busy customs team, you’ll ensure all entries are completed accurately, compliantly, and within required timescales.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit import and export customs declarations.
• Manage a high-volume customs clearance workload, primarily for ocean freight movements.
• Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations and customs procedures.
• Resolve customs queries and documentation issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all customs documentation is complete and compliant.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the customs clearance process.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience within UK customs clearance.
• Experience processing both import and export declarations.
• A good understanding of HMRC customs procedures and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of Incoterms
• Experience within freight forwarding, ideally with ocean freight shipments.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
