Business Development Manager – Distribution and Transport

Location: Preston, UK – Hybrid

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (DOE) + Commission + Car Allowance/Company Car

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – Manage your Own Diary

My client is offering a fantastic package to help develop their business in the Domestic Transport Sector. The right candidate will be an experienced sales-person who has worked previously for a UK based Road Haulier/Transport Company with knowledge and experience with Distribution, Road Freight, Transport and the Pallet Network.

Key Responsibilities:

• To develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent distribution and road transport services.
• To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
• Be the forefront of the company’s development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.

Requirements:

• Road Transport/Distribution sales or business generation experience is essential.
• Experience working for a UK based Haulier or Road Transport company.
• Knowledge and experience within Distribution, Road Transport and the Pallet Network is desirable.
• Hold a full, clean, UK or EU driving licence.
